The Friends of Springfield Library share an interest in the promotion of local library services by volunteering their time and labor.
The Friends began an Annual Book Sale in 1987. Within three years, generous donations of materials from the public led to the start of the Semi-Annual Book Sales. Since 1990, these Book Sales have been held during one weekend in the Spring and Fall. Proceeds from the Book Sales have been used to supply additional items for the library over and above the general operating costs provided by Township and State funds.
Book Sales are held in the Springfield Township Building.
Hardcover and Paperback Book Sales are sold year round in the Adult and Youth Services areas of the library.
Interested citizens may contact the library for information about joining the Friends of Springfield Library or contact Mildred Kibler, Book Sale Coordinator, at 610-544-7190.
